Have a Question?

Is it okay for me, as a non-Indigenous person, to wear this?

Yes, when you purchase authentic pieces from Indigenous artists or ethical brands, you are welcome to wear them respectfully. The key is supporting the right sources—those that compensate and credit artists. Wearing it becomes an act of appreciation and support. We encourage you to learn about the story behind the piece to honor its significance.

Can you explain the story or meaning behind this design?

Absolutely. We work to provide as much context as the artist wishes to share. For example, this pattern might represent [a specific teaching, animal clan, or historical event]. You can find more details on the product page/in the included artist card. If the information isn't listed, we’re happy to inquire further with our collaborator.

How does my purchase directly benefit Indigenous communities?

Your purchase creates direct economic opportunity for Indigenous artists and their families. A portion of our proceeds is also directed to Quw'utsun tribes & community. By supporting this business, you help build a model of economic sovereignty that allows communities to thrive on their own terms.

 Is your business Indigenous-owned?

Yes, Midnight Sky Creations is proudly owned and operated by Raven Sky of the Quw'utsun Nation. Our mission is rooted in our cultural values.

Where do the designs come from?

Great question. Currently, our designs are concepted with the help of AI tools, inspired by themes of nature and heritage. But our true mission is different.

We are actively building a framework to partner directly with Indigenous artists. Our goal is to soon feature exclusively artist-created, licensed designs where the artist is credited, paid fairly, and their story is shared. We're starting here to build a brand that can one day fully support and amplify authentic voices. Thank you for being part of our journey toward that goal.

How can I be a better ally beyond just buying something?

We appreciate you asking. You can:

  • Learn: Take time to learn about the history of the land you're on and the Indigenous nations in your area.
  • Amplify: Follow and share the work of Indigenous artists, activists, and leaders.
  • Advocate: Support Indigenous-led initiatives and sovereignty in your community.
